It’s Not Easy . . . Breathing

How can one write about
someone such as you?
a flower blossoming in the
spring
has nothing on the blossoming
of your heart
the showers of April
began the commencement of
our life together
yet, I do not feel the rain drops
the sun is shining; and I have
yet to feel its heat
the love we make is hot enough
not just the physical, but
something more
each day brings me happiness
a moment ignored is like an
eternity of loneliness
that is only filled when you come
back to my arms
and everything is complete
the touch of your hand against
my cheek
your smell buried deep down in
my skin
the sock you accidentally left the
night before
makes everything you do that
more special
your ears are by far the greatest
instruments created
as they listen to the torments of
my heart
and make my burdens easier to
bear
and your heart beats the
greatest song ever written
that composers are jealous of
its tune
It's not easy writing about
someone like you
because the words I write don't
do you justice
just the thought of your love
sends an overabundance of
emotion
to the peak of my brain and
causes dizziness
and all I can do is exhale
knowing I was breathing a
breath of you.
Dedicated to:
dedicated to the ones that get
dizzy when they've met their one
true love ... love on ... breathe on
