A Letter to the Lord

Lord, believing in you has made a change in me.

I'm no longer living a life of sin and no longer feeling guilty.

I've got my head up now and I'm proud of myself

And I'm no longer accepting the cards that were dealt.

And as I make a joyful noise unto you O’ Lord,

I'm accepting my blessings holding a shield and sword.

And soon I'll have the breastplate and helmet I need

to do the Lord’s work and to move at God’ speed.

I'm going to bring some friends that have let go of their trifling ways.

These are just some disciples who insist that they praise

you in person Lord, and they did say please,

we worship you with our hands and we worship you on our knees.

I can see my King because His light means love,

I'll be the first to praise Him so don’t push or shove.

Because of the goodness He brings,

first ask for His forgiveness then ask for your wings.

That's my plan to get into the house of salvation.

Lord I did my best to warn this generation about the coming of the savior.

First, He will judge you by your faith, and then by your behavior.

I surrender to you Lord, so my soul please capture,

on Earth I want to be considered missing because I was caught in your rapture.
