Tribute To Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
(My Role Model)
He
watched the days go by as slow as winter
his
heartbeat was as loud as thunder
Behind
steel bars he prayed, he wondered,
about
the equal rights and justice
of
his people once yanked from yonder.
Yet
to those attempting to trash his dreams,
his
freedom and his soul, he showed no danger.
Dreams
that were almost washed away
like
the sea washes the shore.
A
freedom almost blown-away
like
leaves during the fall season
after
transposing into their foliage colors.
Yet
even the bitter winter cold
still
failed to freeze his soul
Although
many attempts were made
to
tear him apart
With
gospel and truth he won their hearts.
A
proper route of life he helped us chart
and
to those born during a morality vacation
he
give his heart.
Alike
a shepherd he led his flock
toward
the realization of then unaccomplished dreams.
To
freedom, equal rights and justice he was a native drive.
A
father, a husband and a son and a brother at heart,
he
left behind such instruments of inspirations for peace.
and
this cruel world he then departs.
