Oneswan Productions

Oneswan Productions was founded by Janette Owens, a writer now based in Memphis, Tennessee, who, as a result of her challenges in garnering support for publishing her first book, A Swan Song, dedicated herself to identifying publishing companies that support the literary talents of African American writers.

Oneswan Productions is not a traditional publishing company. We do not promise to turn your manuscript into an overnight sensation. We do not pretend to represent famous or near famous authors. We do not guarantee that your book will appear on The New York Times bestseller list. Nor do we pretend to be magicians. In short, we do not sell pipe dreams.

Who We Are

We are a small, independent publishing company dedicated to informing and inspiring novice writers to explore their literary talents in unique, creative, and positive ways. We are a publishing information source provider. Our goal is to help you find the tools and resources necessary to assist you in getting your work published and into the hands of readers.

What We Do

Through our Publishing Resources, we make an effort to provide you with an extensive list of non-conventional publishers and companies that serve the needs and interests of writers, poets and freelance artists.

You will discover how easy it is to access publishing information through our web site. Within minutes, you will have direct access to agents, associations, book clubs, editors, publishing laws, genres, book marketing & promotion, printers,  publishers, and writer's resources right at your fingertips!

What Does This Mean For You?

It means that you will no longer have to spend brain numbing hours canvassing the Internet for publishing sources for African American writers. We've done the work for you! The resources and links on our web site are excellent tools for anyone who has a goal of publishing and wants to have an easier time achieving it.
