A GIFT

Those Tulips are the most beautiful things in the world.

I smell their scent and look at them every day,

Rejoicing in the mystifying splendor of creation.

I encircle them in my arms and feel consecrated.

They bloom whether or not I am looking.

I look at them, and then I bloom.

They make my heart radiate billows of awe.

They are true nature, true wisdom.

So glorious and magnificent - unknowingly.

They don’t sense their own beauty, but I see it well.

I'll remember them for as long as I live.

I’ll live for as long as I remember them.

I am tempted to come to them, their spell works on me!

Each open bud rises tall to the sunlight . . .

I marvel at the delicacy of their colors and shapes,

Slender green leaves perfect grace and loveliness.

They are welcome in my house.

Thank you for my gift.
