Dr.
Carlyle Van Thompson is Associate Professor of African American and
American Literature at Medgar Evers College, the City University of New
York. He received his Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature from
Columbia University. In addition to numerous articles in professional
journals and book reviews, he wrote a provocative article on Abner
Louima and white male police brutality in New York City. He is also the
author of
The Tragic Black Buck: Racial Masquerading in the American Literary
Imagination.

Thornton is the founder of Marguerite Press and author of Ida Mae; Ida
Mae: The Saga Continues; Babe, and Anybody Seen Junebug?
Thornton, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, belongs to several writing
organizations including her own,
Marguerite Press, founded in 1996; Marguerite

Tee
C. Royal is the founder of
RAWSISTAZ Literary Group™
which consists of RAWSISTAZ Online Book Club -- one of the largest
African-American online literary organizations, The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers
(TRR), and several other entities. Since the inception of RAWSISTAZ, her
website has become a major resource for readers, writers, and literary
enthusiasts and highly respected in literary circles.
Very active in the literary
community, Tee is involved in numerous organizations, acts as
webmistress for several authors and websites, and is a freelance reader,
proofreader and reviewer. In addition to leading her own team of 17
reviewers, she reviews professionally for several online and print
magazines. She is knowledgeable about the AA literary industry and
prides herself on their group motto..."Keeping you In the Know regarding
the African-American Literary community."
In her former "real job" she was a
Captain in the United States Air Force, specializing in the fields of
Software Development and Project Management. She resides in the suburbs

Belinda
Williams is the owner of
Literary Lifestyle, a
full service promotion and literary services agency. A freelance writer,
columnist and copy-editor, she writes and reviews for several
publications and groups. In the meantime, she spends her free time
(what's that?) doing what she loves: reading.

Rose Walker
is an author, freelance writer, columnist, writing instructor and
speaker. After leaving corporate America for twenty-three years as a banker,
mortgage banker, and self-owned financial consulting firm, she walked away
to become a writer. She has written two novels and is currently at work on
getting her first novel published.
Ms. Walker is
a contributing writer for Successful Families Newsmagazine. She has also
written a monthly column for Single Focus, called Money Matters. Several
publications, including Writer Gazette, WriteForCash, The Writing Parent,
Busy Freelancer, and Working Writer have published her articles on
parenting, health, finance, writing and careers. Walker is a writing
instructor for the Continuing Education Department at the University of
Memphis and Southwest Tennessee Community College, where she teach classes
on freelance writing. She is also the owner of
Writing4Success, a company
established as a literacy connection to educate writers. Ms. Walker
conducts workshops, conferences, seminars and speaking engagements on
writing. Rose lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her family.

Odom currently
lives in Indianapolis, Indiana and is originally from Gray, Georgia.
He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and works as a
business consultant. Mr. Odom's hobbies include traveling, reading,
and writing, especially in his journals.
